Dear Advocat  Namn maskerat

I refer to our telephone conversation earlier this morning about our efforts to get in touch with  Philip Powell .

The Swedish Chief Prosecutor Jan Danielsson and Superintendent Hans Ölvebro who are at present in Cape Town would be most interested in talking to  Philip Powell  about his possible knowledge about the identity of the person who killed the Swedish Prime Minister, Mr Olof Palme, in 1986.

As you will remember, there were several media reports after  Eugene de Kock  had made his statement in court to the effect that  Philip Powell  would be the person who had provided  Eugene de Kock  with information about this matter.

I enclose an article from that deals with this question and in which  Philip Powell  denies any knowledge about such a statement to  Eugene de Kock  (I also enclose an excerpt from the but in the only page I have got there is no reference made to  Namn maskerat .)

May I also add that the Swedish investigators have informed me that  Eugene de Kock  in his talks with the investigators have adamantly stated that  Philip Powell  was his source for this information.

As you will understand Mr Jan Danielsson and Mr Hans Ölvebro would be most keen in checking this information with  Philip Powell
.

It would be preferable if they could be in touch with  Philip Powell  today (Tuesday) or tomorrow at the very latest.

I would therefore be most obliged to you if you could give me an indication as soon as possible where and when a meeting could be arranged.

Your sincerly
